Transcripts and required application materials are sent electronically (if applicable) or via the U.S. postal service.

**Teacher Recommendations must be mailed separately (unless it’s for JMU or VT). Please provide the teacher with a Teacher Recommendation Request Form and an AHS Envelope with 1 First Class Stamp addressed to the college’s Office of Admissions **

Before you can request a transcript you must:
- Complete the “Colleges I’m thinking about” section in Family Connection (found in the “College" tab).
- Complete the Transcript Request Form (also available in Student Services)
- Be sure to include how the colleges want to receive their forms: Electronic (eDoc), Common App, or by Mail.

If you are applying to a Common App college or a college which requires transcripts to be mailed, please provide:
- Transcript Request Form
- Counselor Recommendation Form
- Parent Brag Sheet
- Secondary School Report (SSR)
- If required, it will be available on the college’s website.
- Print one copy of SSR from the Common App.
- Activity Sheet – Email your counselor an electronic copy
- AHS Envelopes with 2 First Class Stamps on each envelope, addressed to the college’s Office of Admissions
- Payment – First 3 are free, every additional transcript is $5 (Make checks payable to AHS)
